The School of Innovation Design and Technology at Whitireia and WelTec is seeking to appoint a senior manager; a Programme Manager to lead and manage the Built Environment and Engineering academic team.  You will lead the team that ensures skilled graduates are well-prepared for employment in these high demand industries.

The Programme Manager role contributes to the operational and strategic development and leadership of the School, Directorate, and across Whitireia and WelTec.  You will be a member of the School Leadership Team and report to the Head of School Innovation, Design and Technology.

This position is based at the Petone campus but may also include work at our other Wellington campuses from time to time as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• Demonstrated strength in leadership
• Dynamic and effective management of teams and individuals
• Demonstrated expertise in planning, programme design, and compliance
• Relevant teaching qualifications/teaching experience
• Experience working in a multicultural environment
• Industry professional qualification in a related discipline

Desirable:

• Experience in educational management and quality assurance
• Experience working in a tertiary education environment
• Experience with education management information systems
• Having Bachelor of Engineering is preferred

Key skills/attributes for the role include being solutions-focused, able to problem solve on the go.  Have excellent communication skills and a strength in personal and team development and planning.
