The School of Creative and Hospitality at WelTec and Whitireia is seeking to appoint a Programme Manager to lead and manage the Cosmetology team and delivery of programmes of study. You will lead the team that ensures skilled graduates are well-prepared for employment in these high demand industries. 

The Programme Manager contributes to the operational and strategic development and leadership of the School, Directorate, and across Whitireia and WelTec. You will be a member of the School Leadership Team, reporting to the Head of School Creative and Hospitality.

The location of this position will be shared between our three campuses at Petone, Porirua and Wellington to lead the cosmetology team which includes: Hairdressing, Barbering, Beauty Therapy and Make-up Artistry.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Demonstrated strength in leadership
  • Dynamic and effective management of teams and individuals
  • Able to foster a positive workplace culture
  • Demonstrated expertise in planning, programme design, and compliance
  • Relevant teaching qualifications/teaching experience
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment

Desirable:

  • Experience in educational management and quality assurance
  • Experience working in a tertiary education environment
  • Experience with education management information systems
  • Industry professional qualification in a related discipline
