Casual Tutor - Animal Care and Veterinary Nursing

Casual Contract

We are seeking a casual Animal Care and Veterinary Nurse Tutor to become a part of our team based at our Petone campus.
The primary focus of this role is to provide support to our existing teaching team, providing assistance with marking and course delivery.

About the role | Te kaupapa

WelTec and Whitireia Te Kura Hauora are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled tutor to provide casual support to our on Animal Care and Veterinary Nursing Tutors.

The ideal applicant will have the following skills and knowledge:

• A qualification at level five or above in the area of Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Science
• Relevant experience in the Animal Care or Veterinary industry
• Experience in teaching and a relevant adult teaching qualification is desirable, but not essential
• An ability to adapt teaching practices to meet the needs of a diverse range of students
• Exemplary communication skills
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt and problem-solve
