Barbering Tutor

Fixed Term Full Time

Are you an experienced and passionate Barber with the desire to educate a new generation of like-minded people in the skills and knowledge of Barbering?

A short-term position has become available for an experienced Barber to teach on our level 4 Commercial Barbering programme at our Te Auaha campus – Dixon St, Wellington

This position is from mid September to mid December 2025 with the potential to continue in 2026. While the position is advertised as full time we are open to a conversation about part-time work.

We are seeking someone with the following attributes:

• An experienced barber of 5 years or more
• Have a passion for passing on your knowledge
• If you would enjoy assisting people in their growth to help this expanding industry
• Basic administration/computer skills (emailing, creating Word documents)

Key Accountabilities | (Ngā takohanga matua)

• Course delivery, assessment and moderation
• Management of resources relating to the learning processes
• Regular progress reporting
• Working as a member of an academic team

You will be supported in this by an experienced team of educators.
